The right to peaceful protest is a fundamental human right that allows individuals to express their opinions and to demand change in a non-violent way.
Peaceful protests can raise public awareness about social and political issues, and can help to bring about positive change in society.
By providing a platform for marginalized and underrepresented groups, peaceful protests can help to promote social justice and equality.

One example of the power of peaceful protest is the Children’s Crusade in Birmingham, Alabama, which took place in 1963.
This protest was led by young people, many of them children, who were protesting against the segregation of black people in the United States.

Despite facing violent opposition from the police and other authorities, the children remained peaceful and determined, inspiring others to join their cause.

Their bravery and perseverance helped to raise awareness about the injustice of segregation and contributed to the eventual passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The Children’s Crusade is a powerful reminder of the importance of peaceful protest in promoting social change and upholding human rights.

We at the Europe Peace Foundation stand for the protection of peaceful protesting in order to stand for justice and speak out against inhumanity.
