After agreements have been made to resolve conflicts, it’s essential to have third-party monitoring and accountability to ensure that everyone keeps their promises. At the Europe Peace Foundation, we can monitor post-conflict steps and agreements, establish legal accountability, and even have observers and peace-keeping missions on the ground when necessary. By continuing to monitor and follow up, we put pressure on parties to stick to their commitments.

We use advocacy and diplomacy to urge governments and organizations to commit to ending human rights violations and other abuses. We believe that development and investment that directly improves people’s lives and strengthens public services can create lasting bonds among previously hostile groups. This can also provide alternatives to unequal distribution of resources and violence. At the Europe Peace Foundation, we strive for sustainable and inclusive development that benefits everyone in the community.
