Statement

Friday, April 17, 2026 – I welcome the Israel and Lebanon 10-day ceasefire, but I call for a permanent ceasefire in Lebanon.

Both nations need to come to an agreement for a permanent ceasefire and lasting peace, as the killing of civilians in Lebanon is not a solution. The Lebanese people are living in fear, with thousands killed and displaced by war and conflict.

I have already proposed my mediation for peace for both countries as part of my Global Peace 2030 agenda. I want total peace in Israel, Lebanon, and Palestine, and across the whole Middle East.
