Statement by Mr. KC on the Armed Conflict in Yemen: Urging All Parties to Pursue Peace

Wednesday, 22 July 2026 – The people of Yemen have endured years of violence, conflict, and suffering. All forms of armed conflict must come to an immediate end.

I have repeatedly called on all parties, including the Houthis, to put aside past grievances, reject further violence, and commit themselves to the path of peace. The time has come to leave the past behind and open a new chapter based on dialogue, cooperation, and reconciliation.

Lasting peace is the only way to bring stability, security, and hope to the people of Yemen. The international community and all Yemeni parties must work together to achieve a peaceful future for the country and its people.
