President Mr. KC’s Remarks on the Gaza Ceasefire and Hostage Release

Statement

Thursday, 9 October 2025 – I welcome the news that Israel and Hamas have signed a first-phase ceasefire and hostage agreement in Egypt. This marks an important step toward ending the cycle of violence in Gaza, which has inflicted immense suffering on civilians.

I call on all parties to commit to ending all forms of war and violence and to work toward a permanent, lasting peace. While similar peace initiatives have been proposed in the past, tangible results have yet to be achieved.

I also offer my support as a mediator for lasting peace in Gaza, within the framework of my Global Peace 2030 agenda.

Once again, I urge all parties to make genuine efforts to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East. The people of Palestine aspire to permanent peace, prosperity, stability, and development—goals that lie at the heart of the Global Peace 2030 vision.
