Statement by Mr. K.C. on Violence Across Cameroon – Urges Dialogue

Statement by Mr. K.C. on Violence Across Cameroon – Urges Dialogue

Thursday, 30 October 2025 – I am deeply concerned about the continuing violence across the Republic of Cameroon, where dozens of people have reportedly been killed as a result of security forces cracking down on protesters since the weekend.

The use of force against post-election demonstrators, rather than engaging with their legitimate democratic demands, has only deepened political tensions at a time when the nation urgently needs dialogue, accountability, and respect for fundamental political rights.

The ongoing political crisis must be resolved through peaceful and inclusive means. Cameroon’s long-term stability depends on guaranteeing freedom, transparency, and justice for all citizens.

Furthermore, the Anglophone conflict in the Northwest and Southwest regions demands an immediate, comprehensive, and lasting solution. Too many lives have already been disrupted by violence, displacement, and fear.

In line with my Global Peace 2030 Initiative, I call for urgent action to protect civilians, rebuild trust among communities, and establish a path toward sustainable peace. The future of Cameroon depends on uniting every region and ensuring that every voice is heard in shaping a shared and secure national vision.
