Statement by Mr. KC on the Situation in Venezuela
Statement
Tuesday, January 6, 2026 – I am deeply concerned about the latest situation in Venezuela following the intervention by the United States. I strongly urge all parties to adhere strictly to international law and to respect Venezuela’s sovereignty.
I have communicated with senior local figures and well-known individuals in Caracas and other parts of Venezuela. They have expressed that many people are living in fear, and there are credible reports of violence and growing insecurity.
The people of Venezuela have endured decades of severe hardship, including violence, torture, persecution, and widespread human rights violations. These abuses stem from prolonged political, economic, and social crises that have caused immense suffering to the population.
I urgently call on all parties to choose the path of political stability and peace, and to immediately end all forms of violence and conflict. The Venezuelan people deserve stability, economic development, employment opportunities, and lasting peace—principles that are fully aligned with my Global Peace 2030 Agenda.
