Statement regarding the fatal attack on journalists in Gaza, END THE WAR NOW!

As reported by the media, five journalists from Al Jazeera are included among the seven individuals who lost their lives in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City, an act that is entirely intolerable.

Since the commencement of Israel’s military operations in October 2023, a total of 186 journalists have been killed. The rate at which journalists are being killed during Israel’s conflict with Gaza is unprecedented. I urge Israel to stop its assaults on journalists in Gaza and allow them to enter and report freely.

I call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and Israel to halt the humanitarian disaster and prevent further loss of innocent lives.
