Mr. KC’s Statement on the Yemen Crisis: Call for Lasting Peace
Statement
Tuesday, 20 January 2026 – The humanitarian situation in Yemen continues to worsen at an alarming rate. Ongoing violence and conflict in many parts of the country have led to a catastrophic humanitarian crisis, now considered one of the largest in the world.
Recent military offensives threaten to undo years of fragile de-escalation and risk plunging Yemen back into widespread conflict, further deepened by ongoing political uncertainty.
All violence and conflict must come to an immediate end. All parties involved must come together at the negotiating table without delay to work toward a lasting peace and the sustainable development of the country.
The people of Yemen seek only political stability, economic development, employment opportunities, access to free healthcare and education, and above all, lasting peace. These goals align fully with my Global Peace Agenda 2030.
Conflict and violence bring only fear and suffering. No more violence. Peace is the only path forward.
-Sappan KC, President / Global Peace 2030
