Mr. KC Calls for Peace Talks Among All Parties Involved in the Conflict in Sudan
Statement
Thursday, 13 August 2026 I have sent letters to all relevant parties and governments and have repeatedly appealed to everyone involved in the violence and conflict in Sudan to come together at the negotiating table.
All parties must listen to the voices of the Sudanese people. What they want is lasting peace, security, and stability in their beautiful country.
Violence and attacks continue across Sudan, including in Al-Obeid-an important city in the Kordofan region-as well as in Darfur, Khartoum, Atbara, Blue Nile State, and West Darfur, where the humanitarian and security situation remains particularly severe.
Today, I once again call upon all parties pursuing the path of violence to change course and come to the negotiating table. Dialogue and peace are the only solutions.
The people of Sudan want peace, stability, development, food security, and a future free from fear, violence, and war. This is also the vision of my Global Peace 2030 Agenda.
I urge all parties to put the interests and well-being of the Sudanese people first and commit themselves sincerely to an inclusive and lasting peace process.
