Statement by Mr. KC on Violence in South Sudan

STATEMENT BY MR. KC ON VIOLENCE IN SOUTH SUDAN
Statement
Friday, 28 August 2026 – I have just received the tragic information that many civilians were killed and injured in an attack on the Machar-Pakuek cattle camp and Mading Juer Boma in Majak Payam, Tonj North County, Warrap State, in northwestern South Sudan. These unacceptable killings must stop immediately.
I have already appealed multiple times for lasting peace in South Sudan. Every form of violence in every part of the country must come to an end. All parties continuously involved in violence and unrest must choose the path of peace. No one should act against the people of South Sudan, as the people of this beautiful country want only lasting peace, security and stability.
I will visit Juba in the coming days as part of my Global Peace 2030 mission. This represents my full commitment and support for peace in South Sudan.
Together, we can make South Sudan a peaceful country and an example of peace to the world.
